The BEST chocolate chip cookies
Okay, okay... I know everyone thinks that their cookie recipe is the best, but I swear, this one is definitely one of the best! This recipe makes a ton (I'm talking 3 dozen) of cookies, so you may want to split it in half if you're needing less than that. Read below to see how I make my gooey, soft chocolate chip cookies!
INGREDIENTS
- 4 1/2 cups of flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 cups of butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 2 (3.4 ounce) packages of vanilla instant pudding mix
- 4 eggs
- 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
- 4 cups chocolate chips
DIRECTIONS
Step ONE: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees
Step TWO: In a large bowl, mix your flour and baking soda together well. Set it aside for later.
Step THREE: In another bowl or a mixer, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and white sugar.
Step FOUR: Once creamed together, beat in the instant pudding mix until it is completely blended. (Be sure you add the dry mix.. do not make the pudding!)
Step FIVE: Stir in the eggs and the vanilla into the mixture from step four.
Step SIX: Add the flour mixture from step two into the mixture from step five and mix until combined.
Step SEVEN: Add in the chocolate chip cookies! You can add more or less depending on your personal preference!
Step EIGHT: Place cookies on to a baking sheet and place into the preheated oven. It should take about 8-12 minutes depending on your oven. Once the edges start to turn golden brown, they are good to go! Even if they seem undercooked, take them out and let them sit on the pan for 3-4 minutes.
Step NINE: ENJOY!
This recipe is one that I make time and time again because it is always a hit! Wondering why it's different? The vanilla instant pudding mix! The pudding mix keeps the cookies gooey and prevents them from getting hard over time. It adds a unique flavor that makes you go back for more! Reference this page, or download the recipe below!
